Course Communication Keep-Alive

Applies to all Courses.

The LearnCenter Admin can keep the LearnCenter session alive while a User is experiencing a Course.

This is accomplished by using AJAX to issue a web request to a web service that renews the LearnCenter session. This request is generated based on the following:

If there is a session timeout warning duration set, the keep-alive request is sent 30 seconds prior to the duration.
If there is no session timeout warning duration set and there is a session timeout duration set, the keep-alive request is sent 30 seconds prior to the session timeout duration.
If there is no session timeout warning or session timeout duration, no keep-alive request is sent.

In the event that a User is utilizing a browser that does not support the XMLHttpRequest object (AJAX), this feature is ignored and no keep-alive request is issued. The following areas allow the Admin to change the behavior of the feature:
